Join SFSI Seminars for a sex education career panel!

This seminar’s goal is to present diverse perspectives on how sex education can play an integral and rewarding role in your career. Our panel will include sex educators working in the public sphere and on school campuses, a sex therapist, a nurse, and more. The panel’s speakers will share their words of wisdom and answer all of your pressing questions!

Our panel will feature:

Carol Queen (39:52)
Carol Queen is co-founder and director of the Center for Sex & Culture and Staff Sexologist at Good Vibrations. She’s written or edited over a dozen books about sexuality, from informational to erotic, and she frequently lectures at universities and professional conferences.

Charlie Glickman (2:10)
Charlie Glickman PhD is a sex & relationship coach, a certified sexuality educator, a workshop leader, a trainer of sexuality educators, a blogger, and one of the authors of The Ultimate Guide to Prostate Pleasure. Charlie’s areas of expertise include sex-positivity, sex & shame, masculinity & sexuality, erotic embodiment & pleasure, and many different sexual practices & communities of erotic affiliation.

Celeste Hirschman (15:50)
Celeste Hirschman M.A. is a San Francisco-based sex therapist and relationship coach who helps men, women, and couples realize their full erotic potential and deepen their experience of pleasure, intimacy and connection. She is the co-creator of the Somatica Method, a practical, experiential and body-based method of sex therapy and relationship coaching.

Jennifer Devine (27:12)
Jennifer Devine is the Founder of Superstar Health Education and is a sex educator, curriculum developer, teacher trainer and relationship counselor based in San Francisco. She has been a Certified Sexuality Educator by Planned Parenthood since 1998 and received her Master’s in Sexuality and Theology from Starr King School for the Ministry in 2006. S.H.E. currently educates over 2000 Bay Area students each year in public, private, and religious school as well as at seminaries, universities, and youth servicing organizations.

Yvonne Piper (54:04)
Yvonne Piper is a family nurse practitioner (FNP) who credits her SFSI experience for her current career trajectory. Yvonne works as a primary care provider at Lyon-Martin Health Services in San Francisco, where she provides health care to women and transgender folks. She has also worked as an NP on an HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis study at San Francisco City Clinic. She has served as a teaching assistant for a contraception class offered by UCSF via Coursera and is a provider columnist for Bedsider.org. Prior to becoming an NP, Yvonne worked in several women’s health organizations, including five years as the clinic manager of Women’s Community Clinic. Yvonne took SFSI training in 2003, and she still volunteers as a trainer with SFSI.
